Is this a good idea? My idle temps are only about 60 degrees (and this is during the cooler fall months). My stock fan brook and I do not have the money to buy a new one

Don't you have a case fan or something? Macgaiver it to blow some air into the heatsink, it's at least better than nothing.

My case did not come with fans

Strip one away from another PC, then. I'm sure you have a friend that would be willing to lend you a fan...

At any rate, you'll be fine so long as you don't let temps go up.

I don't know much about cpu temps but I somtimes measure it while I play and it reaches about 90 on Crysis 3

Don't let it get that high. Plain and simple. You can use notepad or perhaps surf the web, but do NOT game on that thing without a fan.

I mean.. it might be safe if you only use notepad, and keep the heat sink attatched. Like passive cooling. My 390 does that until heavy duty gaming, and many old GPU used to passively cool only.

nothing is safe. why notepad? there are bunch of other programs when windows start and more heavy than notepad

Can I attach a small metal bowl of some sort, fill it with coolant and but a lid on it?

At least one case fan in the front as an intake would help cool your PC considerably. As for the bowl, lol no. that would leak everywhere. Did the stock heatsink break also? or just the fan

I am very poor, i NEED this pc for my survival and i do not want to buy a fan for my cpu, are there any FREE ways to cool my cpu? what if i take it out of the case and just put the motherboard on a cardboard box like they do for test benches?

Do you have, like, a table fan or something?

Do you know SOMEONE that has a PC? Doesn't need to be good, you just need to know a person that has a PC.

This could work if you can place it near a fan. Basically you need airflow. If there's no decent airflow source in your home and you can't/won't acquire a fan and can't/won't leave the PC off to preserve its life, be prepared for it to live a much shorter life than it otherwise would.

As long as you don't have any tech savvy criminal birds in your area, and temps don't hit 90 while gaming, probably.

i have some hard acrylic tubing, is it possible to solder or use some high strength glue to attach them, and fill them up with coolant?

Liquid cooling works well because of the flow of the liquid. Having coolant just sit there isn't what you want.
