SD Card Speed

So the Sony a6000 has a video bitrate of 50mbp/s, and I'm not 100% sure what SD cards are fast enough to handle it. The Sandisk Ultra has a minimum write speed of 10MB/s, which theoretically is 80mbp/s and therefore should work, but I just want to make sure this would work

The Sandisk card you should be sufficient for the A6000.  Or just buy one of the cards listed under the accessories section of the A6000 on B&H.  You've already spent a few hundred on a camera, what's another $10 or so on buying a slightly more expensive memory card?
