I have a virus, somebody please help!

Chrome has been behaving very weirdly. Whenever I open new tabs the string "http://stpg1.com/882JX" is visible for a second in the URL, then it goes blank, also every now and then a tab will open itself with the URL "hhtp://vlcdownload.online/download.php?mn=3333". I have installed avast and run boot scans and quick scans, it found some stuff but stuff keeps happening, what do I do?

Malware Bytes run scan and remove everyhting ti suggests

Check your chome addons/extensions. Also try use MalwareBytes.

2 Things:
A: Its not a virus, its a server thing.

B: Malware/ Trojans / Popup ad

 

You should reinstall chrome, and see if it helps.

If what the others are saying doesn't work, try right clicking on Chrome on your desktop and going to properties. It should say something like this under Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"
