Google Cardboard headset without button

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but not sure where to put it.

 

I bought a cheap VR headset from a French Brand (Auchan / Qilive) and noted that it has no input button. The seller said I could return it but honestly, I'm not sure I can get another cardboard headset this cheap (€9,90), so even if I buy another one, I think I'll keep this one. Still, is there a way to make it functional, like through OTG using a peripheral, or is there any phone jack button that can replicate the cardboard button?
