Hello Guys

As the title says I'm new to building a PC and wanted to build my first one. So with the help of pcpartpicker.com i created a Pc, hier is the link: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/sNRw3F

and i was wondering if you could help me out here with the following.

Money to Spend: Max USD 1300

But before, this is the purpose for the PC:

It should be good for Games like CSGO, WoW, LoL, SC and all the other Blizz Games, easy for working, and good for watching movies and series.

And it should work with 2 Monitors

1. General Feedback, what do you think about it? Are the parts really compatible? Could i run into issues with any of these parts?

2. Improvements. Could I get a better piece for around the same money?

3. The Motherboard I chose, I can use 2 Monitors there right? and is also compatible for WLAN (I just want to know)

Thanks so much for your help in advance

Cheers

-Why not go for the new and improved Skylake platform (i7 6700K, Z170, DDR4) instead of Haswell?

-The SSD seems like a bit of a rip off to be honest, when you could get a 275GB Crucial MX300 for cheaper.

-I would go for the EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 instead of the GS.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Are you just playing esports titles? None of these are that intensive, this build is way overkill. i7 is unnecessary, just get an i5. 1070 is way overkill for those games, RX 460 is fine for this. Ill try to come up with an alternate list shortly.

Alternate Build:

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/PPtLyf
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/PPtLyf/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 2.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($174.99 @ SuperBiiz) You could opt for the slightly more expensive 6500 for better price/performance, but this should be fine for those games.
Motherboard: Asus B150 PRO GAMING D3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($88.98 @ Newegg) Seemed ok for the price, select another if you want differnt features.
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($90.15 @ Amazon) 8Gbs is enough, but a little more is ok.
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($99.99 @ Dell Small Business) Went for a slightly larger and faster SSD, but you could buy an even larger one if you want more space.
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.49 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus Radeon RX 460 4GB STRIX OC Video Card  ($135.67 @ B&H) This card should be fine for all those games as they aren't very intensive, so you could go for the 2gb model if you want, but 4gb will help if you want to try any newer titles that need more VRAM.
Case: Corsair 500R Black ATX Mid Tower Case  ($129.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: Corsair CXM 450W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($53.44 @ Amazon) The 460 only needs 380W so you could save some more here, but I'd thought I'd leave 450W for future upgradability.
Total: $822.70

Thank you for your response and help, very much appreciated

Question:

What does this exactly mean?

The Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory operating voltage of 1.5V exceeds the Intel Skylake CPU recommended maximum of 1.35V+5% (1.417V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.35V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

My mistake, I left the DDR3 dimms already selected in the original list by accident. Just select some DDR4 dimms that you like, speed doesnt really matter.

Thank you for the quick response again.

I have another question for better understanding.

What is the difference between those 2 motherboards? the one i selected and the one you did?

As others said I would go with the current-gen platform (Skylake) over older Haswell stuff. You're really not saving money by going for the older platform anyway.

I would also consider a 2 DIMM RAM kit instead of 4 (so you can add later), and seriously consider a larger SSD. 120 GB disks are really not cost-effective right now (price per GB) and are likely be a rather tight fit. Price / gb is a lot lower on the 250 and 500 GB versions and the price difference is rather small.

Considering the games you're playing I'd also consider a cheaper graphics card. Save yourself the money and put it into an upgrade 2 or 3 years down the line (if ever needed at all). You could run pretty much all the games you listed on an 8 year old GTX 260...

Do you mean in the original list? The one you had was on a different socket.
