So im looking to watercool my cpu and gpu with a 240mm rad and a dual bay res, 1/2 - 3/4 inch tubing, laing pump (a decent one)

I went over to mayhems website and checked out the aurora range because i really like how it looks.

But the website states:

"Aurora is "NOT" made for use in a home system. It has been developed for show System's (modding) and Photo work. If looking for a fluid for a Home system / Gaming system please use Mayhems X1 or Mayhems Pastel range of fluids there are fully tested and working in any kind of loop."

Thats all well and good and nice that they tell you so, but has anyone used this liquid in a home system? I would love to know if anyone can recommend me it and say that it works just fine..

Or anyone who has tried it in a home system and had problems?

Thanks guys

You can use Aurora in a home system, but after an extended period of time, it may clog up your blocks due to the pearls not flowing around fast enough.

If I remember correctly a friend used it and then it made his radiator leak onto one of his 680s.

I dont think using a particular coolants would make his radiator leak... It might be a loose fitting, or a punctured tube.

It's too prone to clogging and build up over time, in addition to being hard to move and probably doesn't conduct heat very well. It's literally only for show.

Cool well i'll probably give it a miss then, what about the uv stuff is that any good? That was kinda my second choice

Which UV coolant are you talking about?

That was an odd jump from Mayhems to EKWB.

EK Coolants are great, and so are XSPC coolants.

Mayhems coolants have comaptibility issues with some tubing brands.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the tubing issues. OP: What tubing are you going to be using? PrimoChill Advanced LRT is compatible IIRC.

I can confirm (being the friend he is referring to) i am using a full EK setup and the mayhems liquid started sticking to the pipes and just didint flow correctly after about a week. It then for some unknown reason i got a leak from my RAD and it did indeed leak onto one of my 680gtx (no damage was done)

I was using Primochill advanced LRT it sticks to it so don't use them.

TBH i would just avoid it at all costs.

Good question and thanks for pointing that out, i hadnt really looked at what bramd of tubing. I guess i will use the correct tubing based on the liquid
