CUDA Error

So here is the story,

 

I am attempting to render an animation in Blender using my GTX960 ASUS Strix 4GB and it stops rendering and gives me a CUDA Error "illegal address".

 

I then attempt to run a game and the gpu only goes up to 405MHz. This results in bad framerates (<30fps) where i would normally get 60FPS in.

 

I have the latest driver installed and i have tried reseating the GPU but still no luck.

 

Can you please help me with this issue.

how many layers are you using in blender? how much vram are you using? did you recently update drivers?

i update the driver yesterday to the latest for my GPU, where can i see how many layers there are? as for Vram usage i will need to wait till i get home to check

did this happen after the update? try reverting back, could be causing issues.

i will check how many layer's there are when i get back to my computer, and yes it occured after the update so i will try reverting.
