Try going for a k cpu? to get more performance for minecraft and gta? in my experience Minecraft/gta gets better FPS with mods wile cpu overclocked

450W power supply? is that good or is it better to go for a 500W. and could I fit a keyboard and mouse to the build? maybe removing the ssd for a keyboard and mouse.

its a good unit and is enough to power the build, but even if you remove the ssd it'll still be over budget by $20-40 after keyboard/mouse.

Well yes, but I can guarantee that i3 + 480 will provide smoother gameplay in GTA V and TW3 than i5 + 460, because the 460 is half the performance of the 480 whereas the i3 is only some 70%. So I do think it's better balanced.

Removed the SSD so I can stay on budget.

 

Grabbed the $200 1060 3GB because it's a better value than a RX 470 and it saves $30 compared to the albeit better RX 480 4GB.

 

You should be able to fit a keyboard and mouse now. I can't tell you much about keyboards but I would get this mouse:

don't agree with the 1060 3gb imo, some games already need more than 3gb of vram in 1080p, digitalfoundry's review showed vram limitations. and the cx550m is cheaper after rebates.

Hitting a RAM limit? Lower settings.

 

On the RX 470 it will be the same anyway, you'll have to lower settings to achieve 60fps 1080p, and it's a good 10% slower than the 1060 Gimp Edition.

For one, it's got twice the graphics power. And the PSU is better. That's it. I would still get an SSD on my build, but that might be over budget.

GTA V beth GPUs will be the same

TW3 the 480 has a slight edge

Minecraft and CSGO you're gonna get over 150fps anyway

 

I say you should go with the RX 480 build, if you can put the money there. If not, grab all but the SSD, then buy the SSD at a later date.
