Hitfilm Express 4

HI, i need some help. im using, or trying to, use hitfilm express 4 to edit some gameplay footage. however i cant seam to get it to output audio to the finished product.

 

here are the settings im using

im using Nvidia shadow play to record the footage, when i play it back unedited it has audio and when i play it in hitfilm it has audio but as soon as i export it, no audio.

if i use windows movies maker the audio is fine. Also im recording to a HDD  at 1080p 60FPS however the final video quality doesn't look as good as the pre-renderd video, what bitrates should i be using for recording and rendering?
