Can you Upgrade a Lenovo y700?

that link is not to the Lenovo y700 that link is to the Inspiron 7559 which funnily enough is what i have. But any new laptop will only allow the ram and storage drives to be upgraded. So if you are talking about ram and storage. If you're talking about CPU and GPU no those can not be upgraded.

Error 404 humor not found.

yeah that has a 6th gen CPU. and sense all 6th gen mobile CPUs are BGA sockets (they're soldered on) they are nearly impossible to replace.

Only desktop CPUs have been socketed since mid 2014. 2nd haswell refresh, broadwell, skylake, and almost certainly Kaby Lake, will be 100% soldered to board for mobile.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Well that'd make the statement of "most laptops", but you replied to "all 6th gen mobile CPUs are BGA" xD
