I am going to get 1000 dollars in November and wanted to build a PC with it, but when I saw the psvr I just had to have it, so I thought I should build a PC for 500 dollars and use 500 for the psvr

my lil brother was going to get it but after i saw it was bad for kids under 12(he is 8) I decided he couldn't get it for his birthday(October 13) if he wouldn't be able to use it, that would just be selfish, so I said ill just get it for myself

so should I get the 1000 dollar PC or should I split my money in half and get a lil of both high-end gaming and VR

$1000 for a pc would be solid but you already have a ps4 right? so whats the point of getting another gaming system if you already have one? but if you are interested in pc games go ahead, but if you don't, you could just buy the psvr

PSVR is not what I would get into VR with, the PS4 not that powerful so be default I assume PSVR is going to be inbetween real VR and Google Cardboard/Gear VR

Just get a nice computer and maybe consider VR in 5 years when it becomes something that actually people can own.

I recently got a cardboard (with sponsorship all over it and a collectors edition box) and it's quite meh, my phone can drive the pixels it has fast enough, but i see where the vive's higher pixel count and refresh rate can make a serious difference.

And unless they are pushing the hdmi port on the playstation WAY out of spec i dont see it producing results i'd even consider for a gaming session, let alone pay out good dough for.
