Hi there :)

My two cents on this: SSDs are great as they deliver nearly instant access times and have great performance. It's a great idea to put your OS there as it would dramatically increase the overall responsiveness of your system and decrease all boot/loading times. Also, if you have more storage-demanding applications such as editing applications you can also put them there for better performance or any current projects that you have.

On the other hand, usages such as playing media (photos, videos, music) and gaming aren't really storage demanding so it won't matter much if you run them off a HDD or a SSD. Gaming in particular relies on the storage's performance solely for the loading times and FPS and graphics' quality aren't affected at all.

I would only put games with heavier loading times, MMOs and Open World games on the SSD and leave everything else on the HDD.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Captain_WD.

You put only windows on ssd, that will make your windows run super fast. And you can also put one or to of your favourite games on it to speed up load times in the game. But it will not affect fps performance. Use the 1TB HDD for things like movies, picture and insignificant programs. Big games and such that take up a lot of space. This will make your PC run very smoothly.

Hope I helped.

So I know many people tell me to get a 120gb ssd then a 1tb hard drive but still don't know how I would take full advantage of that. Like what do i put on each drive to make it sanic fast. Is there a vid?

thnx

SSD - OS and programs.

HDD - Games, documents, and videos.

You can go to your [USERNAME] folder and set all folders to the 2nd drive.
