You spent more on peripherals than the computer itself... it's shit imo because computers are more important than a headset and monitor, imo.

I think you should put an EVGA 500B or 600B in there at least. the 430 elo cheapo is literally one of the worst units on the market. Worse even than those green labeled Corsair CX units everyone dislikes. but if its your plan to upgrade going forward, the PSU, case, and motherboard are the pieces you should invest the most in as they're the pieces that shouldn't change.

I removed your custom parts and just left them empty.

I am inclined to agree with some of the above comments. The system is pretty low on the scale, but as you said you plan to upgrade so I guess its a place to start.

The motherboard and CPU are something you never want to go the cheap option with. They may work, sure, but in essence you get what you pay for. If you want good performance you have to be willing to spend the extra money to make that happen.

Its still better then my first system, though. On my first PC, my hard drive was so small I couldn't download movies or music because I didn't have enough space, and my ram was only 256MB. So yeah, it could always be worse lol

I totally understand man. When you are on a tight budget its more about getting what you need, not so much what you want. I ended up spending about 1k on my system total which sounds like a lot but it really isn't because I paid 400 for the entire list of parts I have, then I sold my PS4 and Xbox so I could put a better GPU (which was around 500 at the time) and a new chassis.

If I had the cheddar to do what I really wanted I would have easily spent twice that, but like you said, if you don't have to have it right away and you are on budget, there is nothing wrong with stepping stone parts
