Audio Troubles

Hi. 

 

I loaded up Fallout 4 recently and and sound coming from a forward direction is very low. Only when I turn my imaginary ear towards the sound either left or right is the sound at the right volume.

It is the same when using speakers and headphones.

What could be causing this? 

 

Another issue I've been having for a while is my headphones. Randomly sound won't come out of the left side. I have to restart the pc several times or jiggle the front panel cables around. I'm not sure 

what is actually fixing this, all I know is that it eventually works itself out after doing one or all of the mentioned "fixes". 

 

Any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
