SSD for Inspiron 5547

hui

Hi, I have a Dell 5547 i7, and want to upgrade the HDD to an SSD. However, I'm unclear on a few points and maybe someone can help me out here.

1. This link says the interface for storage is Serial ATA-600. Do all SSDs use that interface? Would I be able to fit all 2.5" SSDs into my laptop?

2. How reliable are Zotac and Transcend for SSDs? I'm considering a 240GB SSD, which these brands will run me for 75-85 USD where I live.

Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Samsung will cost a bit more, and I'm on a rather tight budget. I was hoping for information on SSDs that fit the budget.

Then maybe Kingston SSDs? Those are pretty good too.

There are NVMe/PCIe SSDs as well but since your Inspiron only has 2.5" SATA3 6Gb/s (Serial-ATA 600), Any 2.5" SSDs on the market should fit and detected by your laptop with no problems

Have you looked up "Crucial" brand? They're quite a reputable brand for SSDs and I think this fits your budget
