I think that there are lots of tutorials for this, but I would stay away from chromebooks, they have really bad CPUs and just really cheaply build and that one is from Acer, so I would not even touch that.

my c720 is 2 years old now with an i3 and is running perfectly fine.

@IAmAndre you have to enable developer mode then you can install Linux. I recommend gallium os.

Hi,

I'm considering buying an Acer Chromebook 14 and install Linux on it. From what I've seen it is possible to dual boot and that's what is explained in most tutorials, but since it only has 32GB of space I want to get rid of ChromeOS for good. Is it possible to install Linux as I would on a regular laptop?

Thanks

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

Actually I haven't found a single negative review on this one. Here's one for example : http://www.theverge.com/2016/6/24/12023824/acer-chromebook-14-review-chrome-os-android

I'm a Linux fan so it would be a shame to pay for a Windows licence I don't need, plus for $300 (€350 in my case), you get a 1080p IPS display, 4gb of RAM, a quad core Celeron and a nice aluminium fanless design. Let me know if you can find something better at this price range.

Thanks. Have you installed Linux on yours? Why would you recommend this distribution?

EDIT : I see why. I hope they will keep maintaining the project.
