Seemingly after my computer updated to the Anniversary Update on its old accord last week, I noticed that I had way less space on my SSD. I discovered that system.old is using up a ton of disk space. Thing is, I've never had any previous version of Windows on this SSD. So, I guess stuff was put into that folder when I updated to the Anniversary update?

Anyhow, when I go to delete it using the disk cleanup, it warns me that (obviously) if I delete this "previous Windows installation," I will no longer be able to "restore the machine back to the previous version of Windows."

Now, my question is: given that I've never had a previous version of Windows on this SSD, I assume that it's talking about Windows 10 sans-anniversary update, correct?

If I delete this, will I still have any system restore points, or will deleting this wipe all of those out?

Thanks guys!
