Anti-virus decision

Go to solution Solved by Rohime,

I've tossed all Anti-virus except Microsoft "whatever it is called this week" AV since Security Essentials got decent (a few years back.)

Combine that with safe browsing habits and uBlock Origin on Chrome and I've never needed anything else since.

Not had an infection or even the threat of one in years.

AV these days is way over-rated.

Right now I'm running Qihoo 360 Total Security together with Advanced SystemCare 9.4 Pro with Windows Defender in the background notifying me that another antivirus program is doing the job instead. Should I keep using 360 Total Security or just uninstall it and let Windows Defender run with Advanced SystemCare 9.4?

My Daily Driver:

Acer Predator Helios 300
»« Intel Core i5-8300H »« 16GB DDR4 RAM »« NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB »« Silicon Power A60 512 GB M.2 SSD »«
Toshiba PC L200 1 TB HDD »« Microsoft Windows 10 Home »«

I'd keep using 360 Total Security.

It's been integrated into Windows Defender now for Windows 8 and above.

Bit Defender has a really good free version, just scans things in the background, its never had a major impact on the performance of my PC and I've never had to worry about security.

I removed it from my laptop because it kept telling me to sign in.
