Motherboard Missing Pin

I just received the motherboard for PC build I'm doing for a friend, but when I opened the CPU socket, it looked to me, like there was a pin missing. Can someone tell me if I'm just seeing things or if its supposed to be that way.

I see what you mean I think. Install the CPU and see if the system boots. The pin might just be a ground which is no big deal because other pins on there act as ground so the CPU will still have a good ground connection.

The thing is we don't have to cpu yet, and won't be getting it for a month or two (we're buying the parts bit by bit) and by then the 30 days will be up.
