Mic Stand

I have a blue snowball microphone and I would like to use a microphone stand with it. My desk is currently to thick to support the clamp for an average mic stand like the one I have - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Racksoy-Professional-Adjustable-Microphone-Broadcasting/dp/B00GLJDMPO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1475275632&sr=8-3&keywords=desk+stand+for+mic

 

So I was wondering if anyone could link a mounting clamp for the desk which is bigger of a way for me to put the mic stand in something on the desk.

Well, knowing the thickness of the desk would be real handy.
