Hi all. So I got my 2nd GTX 570 today for SLI (Yes I'm dumb I've just wanted to for a while now) and I hook it up on it's own to make sure it works, no signal.

Things I've done:

Tried re-seating the GPU in the 1st PCIe slot.

Tried re-seating the GPU in the 2nd PCIe slot.

Unplugged and replugged the 2x6 pin PCIe power cables.

DDU and reinstall drivers with the working 570 installed, then turn off the PC and put the other card back in, and reboot.

So far I haven't gotten anything. I tested my working one to ensure the 2nd PCIe slot works, which it does, without having to do anything in the BIOS. Right now I have both plugged in with power cables, SLI bridge installed, and even device manager doesn't detect it whatsoever. I'm going to reset the CMOS just in case that might fix it, I'm also going to make sure the PCIe connector on the GPU isn't physically dirty or anything, as well as look at it physically for obvious hardware failures such as blown VRM's or something.

Yes, the card looks like it works. It's fan turns on, although the card is cool the the touch as where the other card is idling at a "warm" temp (35c is warm to the touch.) Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Hmmm, does the second 570 work on its own? if not it could be the card has dead vram or something.

Sounds like you've already done a great job of testing.  If the same conditions are used for both cards (slots, cables, power and so on) and one out of the two doesn't work when tested individually, I can't help but think that the 2nd GTX 570 is DOA.  Good luck man.

That's what I'm afraid of. It is a used card (not like they make 570's anymore lol) so there is that chance. I was from a pretty big electronics refurbishing company and they said it was full a working. They offer free money back and free return shipping if there's anything wrong with it so I may have to return it.

Seems like a reputable company.  Definitely return it and try to find another if you still want to run a SLI.
