Good 2D Game Engine

Go to solution Solved by MrWorldBerg,

I found a Game Engine. GameGuru, for now! I will upgrade to another engine later! Thanks to all that posted!

I've done a couple decent side scrollers in Unity for my computer science classes.

So, would the drag and drop be good or should I learn the language? I am ok with both

Learning a language is always the best way to go as it gives you unlimited options provided you know what you are doing. I would go with Unity. The engine ran fine on my old computer with 4 GB of RAM. I know you have half that, but you should at least be able to manage for long enough to get an upgrade.

Look- you want to make games?

Learn some languages(I recommend java or python), make text based games, and then go on to make games with premade engines, I also saw your other posts, and Im also referring to them.

Programming and game development is hard and especially hard to learn, else everybody would be doing it.

If you dont want to spend time learning and working. I suspect that this buisness isnt exactly for you.

well what do you demand, what do you expect and what do you know?

all these things can help pointing you towards a certain engine or just steer you away from it.

Can you give some more info maybe?

(don't forget to quote @OP)

May the light have your back and your ISO low.
