Is it weird that my Acer GN246HL seems to look better than the H236HLbid?

Topic. It just seems like the colors are more vibrant than they are on the IPS, in addition to the much better fpses that the monitor can display.

 

The only thing I don't like is that to use 144hz, you must use a DVI-D cable. At least the monitor came packaged with one.

 

Is it normal for a non-IPS monitor to (seemingly) outdo an IPS monitor in this price range?
