Will this PSU be enough?

Hey, I only need a yes or no response on this question so please just be quick. I'm planning to get a i5 2400 CPU with a RX 480 ( don't question my choices, just accept it and move on) will 500w be enough? I might upgrade my CPU later but will 500w be enough for now

If it's a good 500w psu, yes.

If it's a POS 500w psu, no.

 

A picture or the psu model number can help to figure out if it's a good one or not.

I can say unequivocally, "yes", a 500W PSU is more than adequate.

HOW? It 550W and its bronze 80+ HEAPS of people use it and I'm not really worried about power efficientcy

That's not a good psu so no, you can't.

 

Try to get a decent 500w psu first. Once you have that you should be good to go.
Even a cpu upgrade shouldn't be an issue then.

Yes but the quality of its internal components is bad

xfx ts 550w is $79, check pcpartpicker australia for the website. get that instead, i think its a seasonic s12ii rebrand iirc.
