unless you're video editing or streaming while gaming there's no good reason to pair a 6700k with a 1060, so maybe get a 6600k and a better cooler if you don't need the 6700k

What resolution do you plan on playing at? I'd ditch the SSD because it's tosh (the ADATA SP550 is a much better alternative) and get the beQuiet! PURE ROCK instead of the Cooler Master.

This can also be a good thing.

If you want to play top settings you'll do fine with what you posted. 60PFS on max settings.

The i7 will do all the light content creation you'll ever need. I do however recommend a better cooler if you plan to overclock, either that or get the non-k version.

That's true but even more so is the Motherboard, since it's the hardest thing to upgrade in a PC thanks to the way Operating System's work. I had actually heard that a 1080 would bottleneck a i7-6700k. So unless I'm rationalizing this the wrong way, a 1070 would do the same for a i5-6600k & likewise regarding an i5-6500 with a 6GB 1060. Am I wrong?

If you're playing at 1080p, I'd say keep the GTX 1060 + i7 6700K combo. If you're playing at 1440p, go for this:
