Hi everyone!

I am looking for help with my first custom built pc. I have been planing it for a while now but am finally ready to order parts within a day or two. This is what I have currently and would like to know if its any good and what I could do better http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JGGXRG. For more details this will be a gaming build on 1080p with one monitor for games, though i would like to add a second for random things. I would like to keep the budget around $1,100 USD or lower if possible. Everything I need is included in the build liked here but I would love to check out and suggestions on any cases, keyboards or mice you guys prefer.

The PSU is meh, you dont need a hyper 212 evo, the i5 6600 comes with a stock cooler. You also dont need a z170 since you dont have a k series cpu.

My Main PC:

I'd suggest you go with a H170 board instead of Z170 since you don't have an unlocked CPU.

Also, add a SSD. It makes applications feel more snappier than just a HDD. I suggest the Samsung 850 EVO.

Please save yourself some money in the long run and take a 6600k right now. You already have the board + it gives you 1-2 years extra usable lifespan.

Would go SSD instead of HDD. You can add extra HDD later but a 250 GB is a nice base HDD. Suggest a samsung 750 series: almost performs aswell as the 850, but with a nicer price.

Other then that system should work fine. Cooler is a very simple one, if want to OC later on might invest a better one like the Scythe Fuma. Would be tight but should fit in case.

Try to keep the 1070. This card can run any 1080p fps and also 1440p, so good choice if you upgrade in the future. A second screen besides a main screen for gaming is not that intensive.

SSD is much faster then HDD. It makes your overall daily use experience smoother. And it helps with filetransfers aswell.

Ok thanks I'll go check those items out. Also maybe this question is the wrong section but what exactly does an SSD help with. I have heard they are good to get but does it just make file transfer faster or what.

An ssd makes it so things load fast so if it's your operating system it makes it run all around faster because you often load different parts of the OS.
