Overclocking help

I have recently attempted to overclock my video card, though i have not noticed much of a difference. I've done some research and still to no avail i have not seen results. Can someone help me get this solved? I should have enough cooling to overclock it well, my specs should reflect that.

have you tried updating your drivers?

and reinstalling msi afterburner? (for the moment use the default skin)

Yes, i update my drivers all the time through the Nvidia GeForce experience. Also, I just installed msi afterburner

ooo wait i know, click the settings gear tick the settings that reffer to voltage control.

 

btw what do you use as a stress test?

I used Heaven Benchmark 4.0, but i especially notice no difference in fps when I'm playing world of warcraft too. Also, I unlocked voltage control, though i do not know how that should be adjusted

sometimes more voltage can be applied to a gpu to make it stable and OC further

What FPS are you getting?

This was a recent benchmark from heaven. Currently in WoW, I get around 30-50 fps on the recommended graphics quality

Is  this the max OC you can get?

try tweaking with the voltage control and see how far you get,

after compare your stock settings to your OC.

also OC the GPU first then the memory (keep the memory @ stock to allow higher GPU OC = FPS)

hmm check your nvidia control panel and make sure your v sync is off

Do you have the overlay up while testing/gaming? Or on another screen? I always prefer to use evga's precision x. I like the layout and overlay a lot better. Score does seem low for an oc'd 970.
