Help with new GPU

So, I recently aquired a 2009 Mac Pro (firmware update to 2010) and I'm planning to load windows into it. It has 2x 2.26 Quad Cores and 64 Gigs of DDR3 ECC. I want to run at most 3x 1440p monitors @60Hz while maintaining a stable frame rate above 50Hz in most cases (like, not tomb raider) . I've looked into the 900 and the 1000 series cards from Nvidia. I don't want to use an AMD GPU.. The drivers aren't the best for Macs.

Lol what? that CPU will bottleneck hardly

2 2.26 quad cores?

Seems a bit unstable to me.

Workstations at my school has the same setup, and 3DS max and Maya take 10+ minutes to boot up at the first boot.

 

As for the the gpus, Well what are you doing with it? You'll do fine with a 700 series card with those cards for non-triple A title games.

LOL, it does not have 64GB of DDR3 ram, it has 3gb of ram and a 640gb hard drive, any CPU you get will bottleneck

Mine takes at most a minute to go to the login screen. I've customed it. I want to be able to play games at medium to high settings, but with 3 1440p monitors, will it be possible to keep a constant 60FPS say, In a racing game?

Hey man, it was $50 for 64 Gigs from my friend so I'm not complaining.

Now that's a deal, still any modern GPU will be bottlenecked by that ancient CPU

Depending on the GPU you get, it will bottleneck

Like Rocket Leauge, Beam NG, GTA V, and some others that I'd span over all the monitors - some games I only play on one though

While if you want 2x monitors you will need to lower the details, but if you want both high details and 2x 1440p monitors get a GTX 1080 (Your X5690 will most likely bottleneck)

Ok, so if I decided to get 1080p monitors, how would that turn out?
