the 6800K will not work in a LGA 1151 socket, you will need a LGA 2011-3 (X99) motherboard for that CPU!

 

If you mean the 6700K tho, that cooler would do fine!

be warned though, X99 motherboards can get a bit expensive! MSI has some nice budegt friendly X99 motherboards i think.

For just a bit of editing you can also stay on the Z170 and take a 6700K. Is best gaming CPU and can still do decent rendering.

Yeah for now its fine. But having the option in the future is handy to have if you would run in a limit then. Many people thanked me in the past for still advising having a OCable system. It can give that 1-2 extra years of useable lifespan. Is lot cheaper then buying new. :)
