How do I turn down GPU fan speed???

Teemo4Life

im using MSI afterburner to change the speed but it goes back upto 100 on its on. Auto is off obviously. My fan curve should be active but its not following it or something

My gpu is running 30' which means the fans should be off.....but its running close to 4000 rpm which is so loud. Tried Wattman its not following commands

try installing newest bios update and then do some investigation in bios if there is not something :)

If that doesnt help look how to reset GPU bios to factory settings, that should help.

Yeah. In the crimson driver you have a checkbox that manually overrides fan modes. It causes problems for any application you use to control the fan speed. So make sure Overdrive is enabled.

Then Afterburner is crappy anyway and has unclear buttons for enabling manual control of fans. You have to make sure it's set to run your profile.
