Can't end a program in taskmanager

I am trying to end FAHClient so I can reinstall it but it is just not working, I have tried to restart task manager and my computer but it is still there and wont go away! It is not in the task bar just in task manager.

Main Rig: -FX8150 -32gb Kingston HyperX BLUE -120gb Kingston HyperX SSD -1TB WD Black -ASUS R9 270 DCUII OC -Corsair 300r -Full specs on Profile

If I understood correctly restarting the PC didn't help. Just install it in safe mode.

I can't un-install it because it is running, and its a laptop so I don't even think I can get to safe mod but I will try

 

Try to re start your PC.

Been there done that

F8 before Windows boots - if it is Windows. If that doesn't work, pull out the battery while it's running. Windows will then pull up the option to go to safe mode on the next boot :P

Try force closing it in Command Prompt. You want to type:

 

taskkill /f /im [Name of process eg: chrome.exe] and press enter

 

(the /f command tells CMD that you want to forcefully close it, the /im command specifies that what follows is the application process)

If you can get into Safe Mode, remove it from there.

open msconfig -> boot tab -> select safe mode

it's easier than trying to do it when the computer posts.

 

EDIT: or remove it from running at start-up, then restart computer.
