Windows boot problem?

Go to solution Solved by ApolloX75,

This is usually a ghost in the install. Open the start menu and type msconfig, click on the System Configuration icon.

Then delete the "non-default" OS entry that should show up under the "Default OS" entry.

That should get rid of the issue.

So every time I boot up my computer I get this image that pops up, its set to windows volume X and it starts normally (its volume X because every time I boot it up, it has a different number on it), if I select the plain windows it doesn't boot properly. I was installing windows on a new SSD for my laptop a few weeks ago using this computer and ever since then there are now two boot options for windows. Is there any way to remove the non useful one so it just boots normally without this screen? If you need any clarification I'll do my best to do so
