Hi, I am going to upgrade my computer (PC2 in the signiture). Here is what I am thinking of getting:

My budget is around $1000usd give or take $100. Any advise?

Well 6600k is good chip maybe overkill if your going to upgrade in q1 but thats upto you really. Rumored that kaby is lga1151 socket but different chipset so may not run on z170 afterall.

$212 is quite a lot of money for a motherboard. Is there any specific reason that you have your heart set on that exact motherboard over say a motherboard like this?

I could go for something like that, but:

1. i want to overclock it a lot

2. I like the io cover and looks of it a lot.
