Hi, I am going to upgrade my computer (PC2 in the signiture). Here is what I am thinking of getting:

My budget is around $1000usd give or take $100. Any advise?

I really don't want to because I need something now, I was thinking of getting a kaby lake i7 though after a while

Well 6600k is good chip maybe overkill if your going to upgrade in q1 but thats upto you really. Rumored that kaby is lga1151 socket but different chipset so may not run on z170 afterall.

For that money I would get a Z170 OC Formula.. excellent overclocking board.

$212 is quite a lot of money for a motherboard. Is there any specific reason that you have your heart set on that exact motherboard over say a motherboard like this?

I could go for something like that, but:

1. i want to overclock it a lot

2. I like the io cover and looks of it a lot.
