I have a 4GB (2x2GB) kit of Corsair Dominator GT sticks running at 1866Mhz and another 4GB (2x2GB) kit of G.Skill Ripjaws running at 1600Mhz. I used to use both of them to get 8GB of RAM total, but my computer usage began to lag during everything (scrolling, audio playback, videos, etc.) so I took out the G.Skill RAM just to troubleshoot and that fixed the problem. I never took the time to put them back in my machine, but my computer is very slow after playing a very intensive game (BF4) and trying to go on chrome with barely any RAM left is just impossible. Can I mix these sticks of RAM and just underclock the Corsair GTs in BIOS or can I not mix them? I don't really want to but more RAM right now, because of the ridiculous prices.

From what I've heard, it's fine, as long as the speeds and the timings are the same.
