PCI-E 3.0 extender (performance)

I have a quick question for you. Will a PCI-E 3.0 extender for my GPU affect my performance significantly?

eh bit of a long and crappy video but:

5197 on firestrike with 1 Meter pci riser

5222 on firestrike directly inserted

 

 

1 Meter is over kill for a riser, aslong as the quality of the riser is good then it should minimise such issues

i noticed the PCIe riser was PCIe 1.1 rather than 3.0. Other than forcing it in bios PCIe 3.0 requires some sort of negotiation.

TBH, I'd call that within margin of error.
