Error While transferring Windows 10 Keys

Hi,

I am transferring my RETAIL windows 10 Home key from my old prebuilt, using the slmgr command, and managed to de activate my windows on the old computer.

(I have noted down the key that was in the control panel)

I then moved to my new PC, using the slmgr /ipk command, and put everything in, but I get the Error: 0xC004F050 The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is invalid.

I have tried a few times, checking the letters one by one.

Also, all the keys that I see online consist of mostly numbers, mine is in this format: 00000-00000-00000-AA000 (0s representing numbers and As representing Alphabet), Could this be a reason why this isnt working?

ALL help is appreciated!

Thanks :)

When Windows asks you for a key, just enter the key. That's all there is to it.

Yeah, about that.

My key from my old pc consists of Zeroes, and when i go to the activation screen, when i press 0, it leaves a me a message LIKE: "these characters cannot be used in a windows key."

:/
