Heya guys, console noob here.

I recently just ordered a laptop that I was able to completely customize from basically the ground up. Because i'm fairly ignorant of PC parts/specs, I selected what I thought would be minimum requirements for a gaming laptop based off what I've seen on Linus' channel. Are these specs adequate? What settings can I run most games on? (specs below)

Metabox Alpha N150RD
15.6" FHD 1920x1080 IPS WVA Matte 60Hz LED
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM
Intel Core i7-6700HQ Processor (6M Cache up to 3.50 GHz)
16GB DDR3 1600MHZ Memory
Intel 540S 120GB SATA3 M.2 SSD
802.11 BGN / Bluetooth M.2
DVD +- R/RW DL Slim Line
Win 10 Home 64BIT License & Media - Installed & Ready-Out-Of-The-Box

(I kept the 500gb hard drive from my last laptop to save around $120)

seems pretty good though if theres a better graphics card that'll definitely be a needed boost. everything else is outstanding performance wise.. but I think 240GB for an SSD is a minimum for me nowadays. if you're going to keep your old hard drive make sure theres actually a free 2.5" slot available.

The GPU is meh, only if you were able to go with 4 GBs, but it's a great laptop.

I believe the brand has different names in different countries, in Australia (where i'm from) it's called Metabox and this is the N150rd model. I've tried looking for reviews of it online and found the sister version of this model in England. In the U.K. the brand is PCSpecialist, so i'm not sure if the U.S. has anything similar?

It's a Clevo design. :)

As for performance - 960M is basically a 750 Ti so that should give you a good idea of what to expect

Being in Australia, anything tech related is quite a bit more expensive than what it is in America. For context, the Razer Stealth is $999 in the U.S. but is $1500 Aus. In total I paid $1500 for this laptop so it would be apprx $1000 U.S.

That's fine. For the price. Aint bad. The SSD is a bit small. Considering the Aussie tax it's not a bad deal. You'll be getting something like Y700 in the US.
