Hey everyone. I want to game so bad but I just can't. I guess I shouldn't say I cant, but only for a little while. Whenever I am playing games, Like FS15 , GTA V, And BeamNG, my memory usage slowly climbs up to 100, and my pc either freezes , the game crashes, or I get a BSOD. 3/4 of the time, requiring a restart. All other temps and usages including power re just fine, gpu surprisignly at no more than 140 f in any of these games, with the CPU about the same around 135-140 . Please help. Im so upset and frustrated.

Thanks you, Coos724.

Please use Celsius measurements, instead of Fahrenheit. If you have either too high latency/slow speed ram or a really low amount of it, its normal thats its crashing/freezing. Okay, your using 8GB of RAM, and for the games you mentioned, you should really consider getting a 16GB Kit.

Don't mean to be an arse, but in my defense, recommend ram for each of those games i just listed is 8gb or lower on steam. Thats why i only got 8gb in the first place. And I dont really have the cash to go buy a new kit...

If you cant afford a new kit of ram, then i believe your gonna have to go further than what your mind is capable of setting, and in a last resort lower the resolution by a bit. Your running dual monitors, right? Your using both for these games or just the 27 inch one?

I run GTA At 1600x900 and all my second one does is sit here for wiki pages and other things. It is always plugged in . Also, just checked task manager, my ram is clocked at 2133 mhZ And even with just chrome open and nothing else but steam and background programs my ram usage is at 36%! There has to be something in the os or something that is causing these huge memory problems. I can say I didn't have this problem a couple of months ago.

Well then, if temperatures are fine, quality settings in-games are adapted to the amount of ram and all sticks are working normally, perhaps a clean reinstall of Windows?

If you choose Keep my files, theres a chance your applications on the main drive will keep working normally and that applications on secondary drive will stop working, since it happened to me once, since i had Steam on my 2nd drive and after a "Keep my files" reset, i couldnt launch any games and had to reinstall them all. Sadly, i believe that is the mostlikely scenario. Doing a backup of your system as it is wouldnt help, since it could be the cause of the problem and it would persist after unpacking it again. Remove everything is your best option right now. Take note, it will take a long time, depending on the machine.
