Sleep?

So i run on windows 10 and if i select sleep and the pc will do the normal thing and blink the bloody annoying light in my room

but if i turn it off at the wall and turn it back on after a few hours all my programs will still be there

is this normal (should i do this?)

Just shut it down, or unplug the power LED header from the motherboard.

I had a similar problem and tried so many fixes, but nothing worked. What finally worked was updating my BIOS. After the BIOS update sleep works fine.

...Why don't you just hibernate it instead then?  That puts the machine down to S4 so the power LED won't blink like it does in S3.
