This GPU would be well suited in combination with something like a skylake i3 or a haswell low end i5. it's not very powerful

Depends on game and resolution you play on.

I wouldnt care about bottleneck there. Sure the CPU is overkill to go with this GPU but GPU is usualy what people keep on upgrading instead of CPU.

 

I dont know why you are asking.

If you already have that i7 .... I dont know why you care.

If not then I suggest i5 and better GPU.

Then I gave my friend the right advice.

She thinks her cpu is chugging running things like Unreal engine 4 and unity.

(Also suggested to maybe get another 8 gb ram stick)

Just tell your friend to look at CPU usage VS GPU usage. the numbers don't lie in situations like these.
