Which 1080?

Generally the more expensive ones can be overclocked/have been overclocked more than stock. Some also have rgbs and stuff too. If you don't care about overclocking or that then just the one that looks best to you. But if you do, look for one with a beefier cooler and rgbs

There's been numerous subjects like this before you. Grab one that fits your build, all of them just about can be overclocked, so no need to spend boo hoo bucks on somthing you don't need too. Usually the more expensive ones come with a little more boost clock but nothing to spend a lot of money on. Just look for the one you like ??

I don't know which 1080 to buy and if the more expensive ones are worth it

Which one do i buy

simple, if you know how to get your graphics card full potential like overclocking, then get the best one for it. If you're simple like me? Then get the stock one (founder's edition) but most of the people says that makes some noise but if you have enough money to get a non-stock one, i would recommend those manufactures which you can control their fans speed (also you could stop them) to have less noise possible, etc. Just search and try to learn what makes the difference between msi 1080's gpu and gigabyte 1080's gpu...

PS: usually, coolers with more features are a bit more expensive than the stock one (for example), so try to watch their ''unique'' characteristics and try to think if you really need that

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

As far as each manufacturer goes, I don't think it matters. First look at the clock speeds. The stock clock speeds of the GTX 1080 are 1602MHz base and 1733MHz boost. The factory overclocked ones usually top out at about 100MHz more. If you find two cards with the same speed but one's more expensive, chances are the more expensive one has either a gimmicky feature (like RGB LED lighting) or is built for more serious overclocking that you have to do yourself.

If you do not care about gimmicky features or doing overclocking yourself, get the cheapest one that's factory overclocked.

Don't take a founders edition, because aftermarket coolers are in most scenario's the better option. Don't look to much at out of the box speeds. A better cooled card works better because of GPU boost. So focus on that in reviews. Also sound might be a factor. 3-4 decibel doesn't seem much but it's a noticable step since decibels have no liniar grade of increasing.

Story of above means that it is not only deciding between brands, but you decide more between types. Brand can still be a good reference point to start from though. EVGA, MSI and Asus have overall good options most of the time, but as mentioned it really depends on type.

General rule I use when searching for comparing a card is taking the average budget + a possible small headroom, decide what ones I like for looks and possible other points of requirements keeping inmind certain preferences. Once I have a few I then start comparing the leftovers for their performance, cooling and soundlvls and decide then on my preferences again.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
