Currently I have a AMD 4300 CPU with a Nvidia GeForce GT 730. I'm looking to get better performance in games, and hopefully run GTA V at a playable fps. I'd like to upgrade my PC, and am looking at a GTX 1060 for my graphics card. Would my 4300 bottleneck the 1060? Should I also upgrade my CPU? I have an amd motherboard so I would need to keep up with the AMD CPUs. If you have any other suggestions for a CPU/GPU combo that advice would be gladly taken. Thanks!

currently looking at : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 WINDFORCE OC 6G (GV-N1060WF2OC-6GD)

As gta 5 is a very cpu intensive game that utilizes alot of cores it would help a lot to upgrade your cpu. I would actually look at benchmarks comparing the fx 4300 vs the fx 8350 in gta 5 and see what kind of preformance difference there is. I know the i3 vs the i5 actually results in double the fps

should i just save my money and build a new computer? based on intel cpu rather then amd? i already have stuff like power supply and storage.

I personally would do that. You can save everything but your CPU, motherboard, and GPU. You can always sell that stuff for cheap or build another little rig for whatever.

@ArcticBug do you think you can send me a PcPartPicker link to your current build. You might want to stick with LGA1150 and save a couple bucks on ram and maybe keep your old case.

that is my current build
