Mic recording mono

Title basically says it all, when i record in audacity it records in mono and when i test my mic in audio settings i can also just hear mono, gonna try skyping with a friend so i'll update this in a bit to see if he only hears me mono, got a HyperX Cloud 2 with a 3.5mm 4pin cable and a almost brand new MSI H97 GAMING 3, Socket-1150.
