best intel cpu for 150 dollars

so i been looking at the 4470 i5 cpu i think it is. and some xeon cpus, so what would be the best cpu for around 140-150 dollars? will buy from ebay.

if new, then i3 6100. if used/refurbished, then xeon e5-2670, though the mobos can be expensive, since it is original lga 2011

e5-2670 is AMAZING bang for buck, but like i said, mobos can be very rare and expensive

ah, what is an i5 for that amount, cores dont matter much to me and hyper threading as long as it 4 cores, i will be playing basic games i play at 30 fps on medium settings with this old laptop

you can possibly over clock using the base clock method if you need help science studio  on youtube has a video on il look at my rig on the forum it is under new and  planed builds

IIRC The i5 4460 would beat an i3 6100, why are you guys recommending it?

Oh lol  

 

While the i3 6100 has higher single core performance, it's only a hyperthreaded dual core, so the 4460 will give you better FPS in most games and pretty much all multithreaded workloads.
