Best Performing SSD for around $100 CAD

I'm looking for a new SSD to replace my aging SATA II Hard disk in my laptop that's being plagued by Windows services, causing slow boot up times. I'll need at least 240GB of storage as I'm already at 80GB with a recently fresh install of Windows. Any good recommendations for both performance and long term reliability?

Samsung 850 EVO 256GB. It works great for me and has good reviews.

I'll keep checking prices on those to see if they will go down anytime soon as they're $146 on NCIX. Do you know how good those AMD Radeon R3 SSDs are? I heard they're manufactured by a third party and haven't seen much coverage on whether they are any good.

The amd ssd's are ok but has a higher chance of failure compared to samsungs evo.

 

if you want a long lasting ssd then just go with the samsung 850 evo like the guy up there said.
