Does the Asus Z170-A support 3200Mhz memory sticks?

Does the Asus Z170-A support 3200Mhz memory sticks? i can go with lower sticks if it will not support.

yes it does, but will the CPU IMC (integrated memory controller) allow it. maybe/maybe not?

 

 

TTL says the UEFI and maybe some UEFI manual adjustments can allow for the upward speeds. the DIMMS are certified/rated for that speed, but other factors also affect the abilities.

IMC = integrated memory controller onboard the CPU is a switch device that controls the memory frequency response.

TTL = TinyTomLogan the videos that were attached explaining UEFI/BIOS issues for using high-speed memory

UEFI = the older app called the BIOS. an application which is used to start the system.

DIMMS = RAM modules/sticks
