Psu

Go to solution Solved by deleted_member_030719,

I'd recommend just spending a little more and getting a new one.

Power Supplies is one of those things were overinvesting is not bad as long as its justified to a certain level. Its one of the components that lasts the longest and getting a really good one, altough more expensive, might just be the best approach for another 5 or more years of chilled out no worries with no power to bootup.

I'm still looking to buy a decent cheap psu and I'm wondering if a six year old cooler master silent pro m600 is a good one for 40 euros.

You can get a pretty good XFX PSU for cheap

Look for XFX Proseries 450W or TS 430W. Those are approved as safe and tend to be less than 40 euro in the EU

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

The Cooler Master should be fine and it's a decent PSU so when it starts to die it'll go slowly and you'll have plenty of time to buy a new one. If it were my PSU I would keep it.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Nah, just keep your CM. If you need another PSU then it's best to buy new, or within the warranty period if used.

I just got a 1 year old corsair cx600m with still a 2 year warranty left for 40 euros. Was this a better choice than the last ones?

It's more of a sidegrade but it'll work.
