GPU heat issues

So im getting rid of it for a new one soon but my gtx 580 is idling at 56 degrees.

 

have never known it this high before, weird?

 

any thoughts?

 

Have lots of airflow too?

 

** running at stock speeds **

GPU is dusty, case fan died so airflow is reduced.

Because you said case fan died, my case fans are fine

Then why would you assume his case fan died?

I wasn't assuming, I was offering possible explanations for his GPU's increased idle temps. He didn't say that he checked anything.

chances are its full of dust....get a can of air and blast it clean.

 

 

esp. if its a ref type cooler as they get clogged.

 

 either way just blast it and it will be good

I would clean the card and reapply thermal paste if cleaning the card doesn't help.
