Help

So i started my very first computer build, i got all the parts in the right spot and all the cables connected. The only part that was not connected was my hard drive, because it wasn't in the mail yet. So i decided to see if the computer would post and it did. After a couple of days the hard drive came in. I put the drive in the case and tested to see if it would still turn on and it did. However, after being on for roughly 3-5 minutes the computer abruptly shut off. I quickly checked to see if my power supply was broken by testing the green and black cables on it. The fans spun and it worked. Ive tried unplugging and plugging everything in and even shorting the pins to the power switch and nothing would happen. Any thoughts?

Could be a heat protection shut down. Make sure your cpu cooler is on properly with its fan connected

The fan and pins are all connected correctly i jusst double checked.

Possibly a monitor/monitor cable issue? You could try using a different monitor cable of the same type, or a different type monitor cable, or a different monitor (if you have one).

Its not the monitor. The computer itself won't turn on. The power supply works but when everything is plugged into the power supply nothing turns on. It's an EVGA 600W 80+ bronze psu

Does the motherboard have a small coin battery?

Did you install all the motherboard risers correctly? and did you ensure there only the ones required installed?
