Hey everyone

currently running a msi GTX 980Ti 6G Gaming edition overclocked slightly. getting an i7 6700k OC @4.7GHz soon with 16GB of 3000mhz RAM. will I FINALLY be able to run Fallout 4 at a steady 60fps in the city areas? as before I havent been able to with my i5 3570k no matter what I did.

I really wanna play the game again and this time play the DLC's aswell and maybe get into some modding but if I just cant run this game properly why even bother.

 

PS: also haven't been able to run Enderal (The skyrim mod) at steady 60 fps even if I turned down alot of the settings. (GPU wont go past 40% usage)

I think you should buy a gtx 1080 for increase in FPS.

If this game is graphics intensive (which i think it is) then upgrading the processor won't make that much of difference as upgrading the gpu .

there might be extra factors which result in you not being able to play the game at a steady 60.  What res are you running at?

Well I have a 1080 and I'm unable to keep 60fps in city areas with the game maxed out. Fucking godrays and shadows tank the fps so hard.
I'm playing at 1440p and get drops to 35 fps so I doubt you will be able to keep 60.
Game is so shitly optimised, which makes me worry about the skyrim remaster coming in October, if it's anything like fallout 4 then fuck that.
